Exactly 1,189 days ago….no, sorry, 1,190 days ago, the Spirit of the Lord spoke to my heart and told me to begin reading the bible one chapter a day.  No more.  No Less.  And out of obedience I began on one exciting journey.  I have been a Christian for over 35 years.  I have been a youth pastor, a lay preacher, a business owner, “been overflowed” with the Holy Spirit and have experienced Him working through me in spite of me…but I had never read and leisurely absorbed my wonderful Savior through the entirety of His Word.  He knew that I needed the discipline of one chapter a day.

A year or so ago, Pam and I decided to have our personal devotion times together.  I believe that the Lord wants that we should be as one, so why not our devotional time?  Talk about opening the flood gates!!!  Pam’s insight, contributions, spunk, challenges, totally contrary ( to me) opinions, and Holy Spirit revelations have given me hope that this second journey through the bible will be a trip that we  will cherish forever, and pray that it will comfort, guide, inspire, and exhort through the Spirit of God, our children, grandchildren, and those who care to tag along and contribute.
